Opening Lecture – In Praise of Quartos: Shakespeare’s Early Books

March 8, 2016 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm CST

Free

To celebrate the arrival of the First Folio exhibition on our campus, the opening lecture will feature Dr. Laura Estill, Assistant Professor of English at Texas A&M University and Editor of the World Shakespeare Bibliography. Her first book, Dramatic Extracts in Seventeenth-Century English Manuscripts: Watching, Reading, Changing Plays, was published by the University of Delaware Press in 2015.

Following Dr. Estill’s lecture, there will be opportunity for Q&A before a reception in the J. Wayne Stark Galleries, where the First Folio exhibition can be viewed. Light refreshments will be served.

This event is made possible through the generosity of the Texas A&M Department of English and the University Libraries.
